I am Kseniia Kudriavtseva - children's book illustrator whose creative journey began in 2016. After studying the basics of web design at the St. Petersburg School of Television, I discovered my true passion for illustration.
My work has gained recognition worldwide, with publications in the United States, United Kingdom, and China.
I live in sunny Tbilisi. My love for stories originated in childhood when my grandmother would tell me fascinating stories from her life before bedtime. It was then that I learned to feel life in all its manifestations, which greatly influenced my approach to illustration.
Life with my husband Alex, son Oliver, and our Spitz dog Pixel fills my work with special warmth. My interests - reading books, The Beatles music, skiing, niche perfumery, participating in film therapy groups, and making pancakes and coffee - all enrich my life and infuse my art with warmth, humor, and coziness. I'm currently working on my own book - another way to share the thoughts that live inside me.
My Illustration Focus
My illustration work centers on meaningful, real-life themes approached with care, sensitivity, and emotional depth. I specialize in children’s books that support families and children through important life experiences.
Medical journeys, including cleft lip and palate experiences, NICU and premature birth journeys, childhood surgeries, and stories about medicine, healing, and hope.
Family challenges and resilience, such as a mother’s cancer journey seen through a child’s eyes, supporting parents during difficult periods, helping families process illness and change, and stories about foster care, adoption, and unconditional acceptance.
Social-emotional learning, including self-regulation and managing big emotions, friendship, empathy, kindness, dyslexia awareness, and understanding the importance of rest and sleep.
Belonging and compassion, with stories about friendship, helping others in need, children experiencing housing instability, and finding a sense of home, safety, and full acceptance.
Environmental awareness and care for nature, including stories addressing forest fires and their impact, the importance of growing vegetables, respecting the land, and nurturing a connection to the natural world.
Faith and values, such as discovering the meaning of Hanukkah, learning about the Sabbath, and gentle introductions to spiritual traditions.
Across all of these themes, my work emphasizes imagination and emotional growth - helping children turn challenges into strength, fear into courage, and storms into rainbows.
